Nepal Pottery’s ceramic water filters are a water purification device that use locally sourced material inputs such as clay, sand, sawdust, and water to create exclusion filters that cleanse unsafe water of bacteria. Bacteria are responsible for numerous waterborne illnesses, such as dysentery, diarrhea, typhoid, gastroenteritis and cholera. Our ceramic water filters remove these disease-causing agents by filtering through micropores.
Ceramic water filters are useful water purification devices because of their relatively low cost and the universal abundance of their material, which allow these filters to bring clean water access to multiple communities.
